Andrews Announces Summer 2010 High Performance Training Programs

We are very excited to announce the continuation and brand new elements of our Super Summer Training Programs. After realizing the success of the Super Summer Hockey League, we have decided to give our athletes even more in 2010! Check out the following program links:

2010 Super Summer Hockey Programs (On Ice Programs)

The New Super Summer Program is designed with the ideal amount of Off Ice Training, On Ice Training and Scrimmage time in mind. We are offering Off Ice/On Ice packages for Bantam, Midget and Junior-Pro. We also will have the option for the Midget and Junior-Pro groups to take part in just the On-Ice Program. In addition, the very popular Advanced Preparation Camp will take place August 8-14 at MacLauchlan Arena in Charlottetown. This Camp is ideal for anyone from off-island who cannot take part in the complete summer training program.

All High Performance Skating Sessions will be run by Andrews Hockey Director, Doug Shepherd. Doug has been instrumental in the skating development of many Professional and Elite Players. Off Ice Training Sessions will be conducted under the watchful eye of Andrews Sport Conditioning Director, Kris MacPhee. Kris is a Certified Personal Trainer and Sport Conditioning Specialist who has trained many Professional and Elite Athletes including Nashville Predators Joel Ward and New York Islander Prospect Mark Flood.

On Ice Practice sessions will be conducted by Saint John Sea Dogs General Manager and former NHL Coach, Mike Kelly. Also joining us will be guest coaches such as former NHLer and current Buffalo Sabres scout, Al MacAdam, former NHLer and current Head Coach of the Summerside Capitals, Gord Dwyer, former NHLer and current Head Coach of the Saint John Sea Dogs Gerard Gallant,  and former Professional Player and Coach and current UPEI Panther Head Coach, Forbes MacPherson.
