Andrews Hockey School - Spring Hockey

The Andrews Elite Spring Hockey Program has been in existence for 16 years. The Program is designed to give elite players the chance to compete at a high level and play with other high end players from their region or province. All teams are trained using the principles, concepts, strategies and practice plans of Andrews Hockey Growth Programs. Teams not only engage in on ice competition but train off the ice and attend classroom sessions to enhance learning. Our players are taught good solid values and the benefits of team play.   

 

The PEI Riptide is a boys program that consists of the top players in Prince Edward Island. In 2011, we will operate teams at the 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, ’99, ’98, & 97 levels. These teams will compete in the Maritimes against teams such as the NS Target T-Force, Nova Scotia Selects, Nova Scotia Fire, Nova Scotia Prospects NB Ice and New Brunswick Jr. Cats. Teams will also travel to other High Level tournaments throughout Eastern Canada and the U.S. playing against the best competition available.

The PEI Young Islanders Program plays in the East Coast Ice AAA Series.  The East Coast Ice AAA Series consists of regional Elite teams including the Northern Magic, Saint John Seahawks, Eastern Attack, Northeast Moose, Western Big Red and PEI Young Islanders. This league is highly competitive and gives players a chance to practice locally while still competing at a high level in games and tournaments.   

 

The Atlantic Female Training Institute is a newly formed program.  The institute will give aspiring advanced level Female Athletes from various sports preparation and advisement to reach their goal of participating in a Prep School, University or National Team Program.

 

The Hockey Department of the Institue will include:

• Education and Training in Advanced Hockey Systems.
• Prep School, University, College, and National Team Preparation Program
• Individual Development: On Ice and Off Ice
• Invitations to Atlantic Female Prospect Camp
• Interactive Hockey Trainer
• Invitation to Summer On and Off ice training Programs

 

The program will take part in two major tournaments over the course the spring hockey season and take part in weekend boot camps which will consist of on ice and off ice training sessions, and classroom sessions focusing on goal setting, adversity, and advanced hockey concepts.  The program is invitation only.  For inquiries on the program please contact the Andrews Hockey Office at 1.877.936.6699.

 

Our Development ‘A’ Series features teams throughout NB and PEI such as the PEI Wolfpack and the NB based Sharxz, Dawgz, Knightz and Bearz. This loop has been instrumental in providing strong competition for A players throughout the Maritimes and helping them move on to higher levels.
