Allan Andrews founded what is now Andrews Hockey Growth Programs in 1979. He has been a pioneer in the game of hockey and his research and development in the area of Modern Techniques of Hockey Skating is considered some of the best ciriculum in the world. He was instrumental in the development of many young players including Sidney Crosby and Brad Richards. Allan holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Prince Edward Island and a Bachelor of Physical Education from the University of New Brunswick. He is a former Canadian University Player (UNB), a Hockey Canada Level 5 Coach, an NCCP Advanced Level 3 Coach and holds an Olympic Solidarity Certificate (Stockholm, Sweden, 1989 Masters Level Coaching Certificate). Allan was also a member of the National Advisory Committee on Fitness and Amateur Sport to Minister of State for Fitness and Amateur Sport: Otto Jelinek. "The Hockey Professor" now spends his days teaching young players, advising coaches of all levels and helping kids move on to achieve their hockey and educational goals.

Doug has a tremendous passion for the game and has been in hockey his whole life. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and is a Certified Sport Conditioning Specialist. At RPI, he was a Senior Assistant Captain and Academic All American and enjoyed a productive 4 year career. Following University, Doug played a few years of Minor Pro hockey with the Amarillo Rattlers (CHL), Knoxville Ice Bears (ACHL) and Amberg Wild Lions in Germany. Doug has coached many elite teams and spent a year as a volunteer coach under Alain Vigneault with the PEI Rocket and also a season as an assistant coach with Mike Kelly's UPEI Panthers. He currently scouts Eastern Canada and the U.S. for the AHL's Manitoba Moose. Doug has been instrumental in the development of many young players and is a personal skating coach for many AHL, NCAA and Major Junior A players.

Josh is the Director of Research and Program Development and the Head On Ice Instructor for Andrews Hockey. Josh attended the prestigious Lawrenceville School in New Jersey where he completed his high school education and competed on the school's hockey team. He then moved on to play Junior A Hockey with the Bancroft Hawks and the Hartford Junior Wolfpack. He also spent a year playing for NCAA Division III Lebanon Valley College.In 2006, Josh was one of a select few student-athletes chosen to attend Finland's Veirumaki Sports Institute. Upon completion of his studies at Veirumaki, Josh will hold a degree in Sport & Leisure Management with a Minor in Hockey Coaching. In addition to his program at the storied school he also coached in the Finnish Junior League.
Josh is currently working on his thesis and is an assistant coach for the University of Calgary Dinos Men's Hockey Team.

Kris is a former professional hockey player having spent time with the ECHL's Dayton Bombers and Charlotte Checkers as well as the CHL's Laredo Bucks. He played his junior hockey for the OHL Peterborough Petes before embarking on a successful career with the UPEI Panthers. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, a Certified Sports Conditioning Specialist and a Hockey Canada Advanced Level Coach.
Kris holds an Arts Degree from UPEI and is completing a Masters of Sports Science Degree with a Coaching and Fitness Management Major from the United States Sports Academy. He trains many Professional, College and Junior A players as well as teams and individuals year round. Kris currently coaches the Cornwall Thunder Major Midget AAA Club.

Devan is former member of the QMJHL PEI Rocket as well as the Jr. A Summerside Western Capitals. A graduate of the Andrews Program and the PEI Riptide Elite teams, Devan is now one of our top instructors.
He is currently studying at St. Thomas University where he plays for the St. Thomas Tommies Men's hockey team in the highly competitive AUS.

A 2007 Detroit Red Wings Draft choice, Randy has come up through the program and has been in the Andrews system for over 10 years. He currently plays for the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats and previously starred as a 16 year old for the Summerside Western Capitals.

The Montreal Canadiens picked Mark in the 2003 NHL Draft. After completing a very successful junior career with the OHL's Peterborough Petes, he signed with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Mark was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006 and he now plays for their top AHL Affiliate, the Albany River Rats.
Mark is an Andrews Hockey Graduate and has been key in the progress of many programs including the Defencemen's Specialty camp.

Tyler is a long time student and instuctor at Andrews Hockey. One of the most dependable men on staff, Tyler not only takes the lead in summer programs but he has a strong following as a Synthetic Ice Instructor. A UPEI Business student, Tyler is a former member of Southside Red Wings Jr. B Club and the Charlottetown Islanders Major Midget Club.
Tyler currently coaches the Mid Isle Matrix Atom AAA team and is our Spring Hockey Coordinator.

Nathan was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks and spent 3 pro seasons with the Organization. He now suits up for the Anaheim Ducks. A former captain of the St. Michael's Majors in the OHL, he made his NHL debut in 2006-07 with the Canucks and suited up for the team on a part time basis in 2007-08. He was an important part of the defence corps of the Manitoba Moose over the past few seasons. Nathan also played junior hockey with the Summerside Western Capitals.

Colby was one of the leaders for the 2007-2008 Halifax Mooseheads. After attending pro tryout camps with the Tampa Bay Lightning and Norfolk Admirals, he returned to Halifax for his overage season and this year he is suiting up for the Saint Mary's Huskies in the AUS. Previously Colby was a stand out forward with the Charlottetown Abbies Jr. A Club.

Joel is a graduate of UPEI where he lead the Panther hockey club as the AUS Leading Scorer and MVP in his final season. He signed a pro contract with the Minnesota Wild and played 11 games in the NHL in 2006-2007. Joel is currently plays in the Nashville Predators Organization.

Kevin is a Sophomore Forward at NCAA Division III Potsdam State University. He was a scoring sensation for the Summerside Western Capitals and the Couchiching Tigers Jr. A clubs for 4 years. A PEI native, Kevin has been in the Andrews Program since was 5 years old.

Drew was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 4th round of the NHL Entry Draft in 2002. After a couple of seasons with the Grand Rapids Griffins and Toledo Storm in the Detroit system, he signed with the Vancouver Canucks in 2006. He spent 2 seasons as the number 1 goalie for the Manitoba Moose where he posted sparkling numbers in 2006-2007 and was aa AHL All-Star in 2007-2008.
Drew has been instrumental in the development and growth of the Andrews Hockey Goaltending Program. A former member of the Sherbrooke Castors of the QMJHL and the Ontario Junior A League's Trenton Sting, he played for the Canadian National Under 18 team.
After suiting up for the Canucks in a part time role in 2007-08, Drew signed to play in the Nashville Predators Organization.

Tim heads up 1 on 1 Goaltending Instruction at our Synthetic Ice Training Centre and is one of the leaders in our Summer Programs. He was one of the top goaltenders in the Maritime Jr A Hockey League for a number of seasons suiting up for the Summerside Jr. A Capitals. In 2004-2005 Tim played with the Cornwall Major Midget AAA Thunder.
