llan has been coaching at the minor hockey, High School and Jr levels since 1960 where he began his coaching career as Director of minor hockey for the town of Kensington. He has helped develop players such as former Toronto maple leaf captain Rick Vaive, Bob Stewart, Brad Richards, Sidney Crosby and many others who have gone on to professional, university and Jr. Careers. Allan has a Physical Educational Degree from the University of New Brunswick where he played varsity hockey under former NHLer Pete Kelly and Dr. Bill MacGillivray. He also earned an Athletic Distinction award while at UNB. He also has an education Degree from the University of PEI. Allan has level 5 and advanced level certificates from Hockey Canada, an Olympic Solidarity certificate from Stockholm Sweden, and a Masters coaching certificate from Hockey USA. His work in hockey research, particularly in the area of Hockey Skating is recognized world wide. Allan's career experience includes Director of Elementary Physical Education for the City of Charlottetown 1962-65 and Provincial Youth Coordinator for the Youth, Recreation and Sport Division, and PEI Department of Education 1969-1985. Allan has been a member of the National Advisory Committee for Fitness and Amateur Sport for the federal sport minister, International Board member for Allied Youth, a founding board member for The Christian Council of Reconciliation for Canadian Penitentiaries, and a member of Canada Games Mission staff for Summer and Winter Games. In 1988 Allan was nominated by CBC's Scott Russell for an Atlantic Insight award for Innovation and was the winner in the Sports and Medicine Category.Allan presently spends his time scouting, developing and providing hockey and educational opportunities for young hockey players from throughout the hockey world.

Doug has a tremendous passion for the game and has been in hockey his whole life. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and is a Certified Sport Conditioning Specialist. At RPI, he was a Senior Assistant Captain and Academic All American and enjoyed a productive 4 year career. Following University, Doug played a few years of Minor Pro hockey with the Amarillo Rattlers (CHL), Knoxville Ice Bears (ACHL) and Amberg Wild Lions in Germany. Doug has coached many elite teams and spent a year as a volunteer coach under Alain Vigneault with the PEI Rocket and also a season as an assistant coach with Mike Kelly's UPEI Panthers. He currently scouts Eastern Canada and the U.S. for the AHL's Manitoba Moose, and is a consultant for UPEI mens hockey. Doug has been instrumental in the development of many young players and is a personal skating coach for many NHL, AHL, NCAA and Major Junior A players.

Josh is the Director of Program Development and the Head On Ice Instructor for Andrews Hockey. Josh attended the prestigious Lawrenceville School in New Jersey where he completed his high school education and competed on the school's hockey team. He then moved on to play Junior A Hockey with the Bancroft Hawks and the Hartford Junior Wolfpack. He also spent a year playing for NCAA Division III Lebanon Valley College. In 2006, Josh was one of a select few student-athletes chosen to attend Finland's Veirumaki Sports Institute. Josh holds a degree in Sport & Leisure Management from the school with a Minor in Hockey Coaching. In addition to his program at the storied school he also coached in the Finnish Junior League and completed his thesis on Goal Scoring in the modern game. In 2008-09 he was an assistant coach for the University of Calgary Dinos Men's Hockey Team. Josh is a Certified High Performance Level 1 Coach. This 2009-2010 year he was assistant coach for the UPEI Womens hockey team.

Kris is a former professional hockey player having spent time with the ECHL's Dayton Bombers and Charlotte Checkers as well as the CHL's Laredo Bucks. He played his junior hockey for the OHL Peterborough Petes before embarking on a successful career with the UPEI Panthers. Kris holds a Masters of Sports Science Degree with a Coaching and Fitness Management Major from the United States Sports Academy. He also holds an Arts Degree from UPEI. He is a Certified Personal Trainer, and a Certified Sports Conditioning Specialist. He is an assistant coach of the UPEI Panthers, and currently scouts for the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL. He trains many Professional, College and Junior A players as well as teams and individuals year round.

A long time Andrews Program Graduate, Devan is one of our Head Instructors here at Andrews. He grew up playing hockey in Summerside, PEI, after which he moved away to study and play hockey at Gilmour Academy in Ohio. Following his time at Gilmour, he moved into the Junior Hockey ranks, suiting up for the PEI Rocket and the Summerside Jr A Western Capitals. Devan is currently studying at St. Thomas University, where he plays for the St Thomas Tommies hockey program in the highly competitive AUS.

Brad played for Cornwall Thunder, the Summerside Western Capitals (MJAHL), Cape Breton Screaming Eagles (QMJHL), PEI Rocket (QMJHL), and is currently playing for the St. Thomas Tommies of the AUS. Brad has worked at Andrews for many years. A few of his Hockey Highlights include winning the Midget AAA Atlantic Championship with Cornwall Thunder, attending an AHL Training Camp with Syracuse Crunch and receiving his Gold Skate from Zack Bell! Brad is currently in his third year of University at St. Thomas, studying criminology.

Rick Steadman played for the London Nationals Jr A, London Knights of the OHL, Guelph Storm of the OHL, UPEI Panthers, and the Herentals Professional Hockey Club in Belgium. Rick has been working with Andrews Hockey for 5 years. He was a captain with the London Knights, and a captain with the UPEI Panthers. Some of his hockey highlights include a 35 game winning steak with the London Knights, a 22 game winning streak with the London Nationals and winning the Silver Stick Tournament in Atom. Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts with a History Major from UPEI and is presently working on his Education Degree at St. Francis Xavier University.

Harrison McIver has worked with Andrews hockey for seven years. He played for the Gulf Storm AAA Minor Hockey Association, the Charlottetown Major Midget Islanders, and has played with the Summerside Western Capitals for the past four years. In 2008 he was a member of the Canada Junior Hockey League Prospects game. In the 2008-2009 season, his team won both the Kent Cup and Fred Page Cup. In the 2009-20010 season, he was the co-captain and team MVP for the Summerside Western Capitals. He is currently majoring in Biology at UPEI, with plans to study physiotherapy.

Kevin played for the Cornwall Thunder Major Midgets, Summerside Western Capitals Jr. A and the Couching Terriers Jr. A Club before moving on to play for the Potsdam State University Bears of the NCAA. Kevin grew up attending our hockey school since the age of five, and has been working with Andrews Hockey for the last 14 years. Kevin has become one of our top instructors. He is assistant captain for the Potsdam Bears was an assistant captain with the Summerside Capitals and captain of the Cornwall Thunder. A few of his Hockey Highlights include a trip to the Kent Cup Final in 2007 with Summerside and playing in the Canada Games with Team PEI in 2003..

Nathan was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks and spent 3 pro seasons with the Organization. After playing the first half of 2008-09 with the Anaheim Ducks he was traded back to the Canucks in February 2009. A former captain of the St. Michael's Majors in the OHL, he made his NHL debut in 2006-07 with the Canucks and suited up for the team on a part time basis in 2007-08. He was an important part of the defence corps of the Manitoba Moose over the past few seasons. Nathan also played junior hockey with the Summerside Western Capitals

The Montreal Canadiens picked Mark in the 2003 NHL Draft. After completing a very successful junior career with the OHL's Peterborough Petes, he signed with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Mark was traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006 and most recently played for their top AHL Affiliate, the Albany River Rats. In 2009-10, he will suit up in the New York Islanders organization. Mark is an Andrews Hockey Graduate and a Certified Personal Trainer. He has been a key figure in the progress of many programs including the Defencemen's Specialty camp and works with our young athletes as a Sport Conditioning Coach.

A 2007 Detroit Red Wings Draft choice, Randy has come up through the program and has been in the Andrews system for over 10 years. He currently plays for the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats and previously starred as a 16 year old for the Summerside Western Capitals.

Jared Kelly played for the Kensington Vipers Jr. B team before joining the Summerside Capitals. In 2009-10 he was an affiliate player with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL, and was listed by the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL in 2007/2008. Jared was the PEI Bantam AAA League MVP and a First Team All Star in 2006. Jared is currently attending UPEI working towards a Bachelor of Arts and a Minor in Business.

Brad played Minor Hockey in Charlottetown and has played for the Charlottetown Islanders Major Midgets for the past two years. He was on the Team PEI Under 15 and Under 16 squads that competed in the Atlantic Challenge Cup. Brad was a 2nd Round Draft Pick of the Truro Bearcats of the MHL and he will also attend the 2010 Training Camp of the PEI Rocket. Brad came up through the Andrews Program and is one of our most valuable staff members.

An Andrews Graduate, Marc grew up playing hockey in Moncton and was a member of the Bantam AAA Atlantic Champions in 2004. Following his Moncton Minor Hockey, he moved away to play at Upper Canada College followed by Notre Dame College in Saskatehewan, where he won a league championship with the Midget AAA team. Marc currently suits up for the Dieppe Commandos in the Maritime Junior A Hockey League and hopes to go on to play University hockey and then see where else hockey will take him.

An Andrews Graduate, Darcy has been working at Andrews Hockey for the past five years. Darcy played one year of Major Midget hockey for the Cornwall Thunder of the NBPEIMMHL before moving on to play for the Summerside Western Junior A Capitals of the MHL, where he played in the MJAHL prospects game. That year, Darcy also played in the Canadian Jr A prospects game, and won Rookie of the Year for the MJAHL. In 2010, he was drafted by the Halifax Mooseheads and will be suiting up for them this Fall.

Chris Played his Minor Hockey in Saint John, and played high school hockey for the KV High AAA team. After High School, he attended the sports institute of Finland and received his Bachelor of Sports and Leisure Management with a specialization in Hockey Coaching. He coached at the IIHF Development Camp in Finland as well as the Hekki B Junior Program. Following his time in Finland, he spent a year coaching for the Valerenga U-15 program in Oslo, Norway. While in Finland, he also played for the Hekki A Junior Program. Chris has been involved in the Andrews Programs for 3 years now.

Drew was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 4th round of the NHL Entry Draft in 2002. After a couple of seasons with the Grand Rapids Griffins and Toledo Storm in the Detroit system, he signed with the Vancouver Canucks in 2006. He spent 2 seasons as the number 1 goalie for the Manitoba Moose where he posted sparkling numbers in 2006-2007 and was aa AHL All-Star in 2007-2008. Drew has been instrumental in the development and growth of the Andrews Hockey Goaltending Program. A former member of the Sherbrooke Castors of the QMJHL and the Ontario Junior A League's Trenton Sting, he played for the Canadian National Under 18 team. After suiting up for the Canucks in a part time role in 2007-08, Drew signed to play in the Nashville Predators Organization. He will continue his career in the south in 2009 after signing a 2 year contract with the Atlanta Thrashers.

Andrew was a goaltender for the Charlottetown Islanders, the Acadie-Bathurst Titans, OCN Blizzard Jr. A, and the Antigonish Bulldogs Jr. A before playing for the Bentley Generals. In 2006, Andrew played for the Islanders when they hosted the Telus Cup. He is a level one weightlifting coach, and has his level two in twist conditioning. Andrew is also a certified personal trainer, and is entering his second year in Human Kinetic Studies. These qualifications combined with his seven years working with our Hockey School, has made him one of our top goalie instructors.
